Message from Chief Medical Officer Dr. Gregory Garner

With health officials now reporting an increasing amount of Coronavirus cases in Louisiana, CareSouth Medical and Dental is stepping up its efforts to further protect our patients. We want you to know that your health and safety is our number one priority.

  • We are canceling all non-essential activities and programs – like the yoga classes, the diabetes prevention program, and the Easter Egg Hunt – through April 30. If you have questions, call or email Dr. Garner or Chief Operations Officer Kabrina Smith
  • Staff should limit visits from non-essential visitors like Pharmaceutical Reps
  • Staff should wipe down and clean and disinfect working areas more frequently
  • Staff should be more vigilant, proactive and observant of patients with symptoms especially those most at risk – the elderly and the chronically ill
  • Each clinic should designate a room or an area to isolate patients with symptoms
  • We’re restricting patients to bringing only one family member or friend during visits
  • Please continue to follow universal precautions of washing hands, no personal contact, don’t touch your face or mouth and if sick, stay at home or seek medical care
  • For more information, we’re advising patients to call the state’s hotline at 2-1-1 or text LACOVID to 898-211 or go to www.la21help.org.

Please know we are closely monitoring updates from state and local officials and we’ll keep you posted on any changes.
