Which COVID-19 test did I receive today?

It’s a nasal swab test that will be inserted into your nose and rotated gently for about 15 seconds. The swab is then sent to the lab to test for the virus.

Does it hurt?

It’s a little uncomfortable, but it only lasts a few seconds.

How much does it cost?

There is no out of pocket cost. If you have insurance, it will be billed. If you don’t have insurance, CareSouth will cover the cost.

What do I need to bring?

Your picture ID and insurance card, if you have one.

Who can get tested?

Anyone 12 years old and up with or without symptoms and with and without insurance. No doctor’s order required.

Do I have to have symptoms?

No, we will test everyone with or without symptoms.

How long does it take to get my results back?

Five to ten business days.

How will my results be communicated to me?

Negative results will be mailed to you. If positive, a CareSouth medical provider will call you.
